Title: painting aluminum?
Post by: BANE on June 07, 2009, 07:34:35 AM
Hi,
So while i'm waiting for the rest of my parts needed to start milling i was wondering what the best way to paint aluminum.  I will mostly be painting white, blue and gray.  I've tried using Rust-olum spray paint before and it was just to thick and not very wear resistant.  Would anyone recommend hobby paint?

Thanks,

Bane

to get paint to adhere good to aluminum you first have to prep the surface if i remember correctly one of the things you can use is alodine you can paint aluminum without but usually doesn't adhere all that well
