ok guys,
me and smash came up with the idea of having a site which all OSCAR participants have the username/password to. they con go on the site and make a page for there mod. if people want to find out about obout the mods, they just go to this site, but there are rules, which are listed on the front page. PM me and I will give you the username/password if I see you are a active OSCAR member.

noooooooooooo.
So far we have 3 different sites for OSCAR.
The sourceforge site by Asellith and two freewebs or whatever.
This is really unfair to Asellith in my opinion. He is the only on who has announced his intent to open a space for the OSCAR project. If you didn't like the idea of a sourceforge project you had plenty of time to say so. Opening a new web site now, completely out of the blue is not being nice to Asellith who has be working on it for some time.
And moreover, from a purely technical point of view, the sourceforge idea is way better that a custom website hosted by I don't know who. It includes a forum, wiki, web space, version control tools, bug tracker, user management... We don't have to take car of updating these, the SF admins do it for us. And we would have a better visibility from the open source community.
Anyway, if you are really eager to have a web space, proposed your help to Asellith. And to be frank, we don't really need a dedicated website right now and its better to wait for a well thought solution.

i think that sourceforge should be the main site for this project to revolve around as asellith has already put a lot of
his time into that site.
-
well the idea of my site was just to be where people could say what there mod is, and if asillinth's page can accomplish this then I can abolish my site
-
Lets just close down all the other sites to avoid confusion... we really dont need more. Anyways its a society of robots project, no need to move it to a different site.
-
well it would be VERY nice if admin would just add another section of the forum.
it can't be that hard can it?
-
There are doubts whether or not the project will suceed or not, so far not much progress has been made... if it does look like it will make it, I am sure he will make a section.
-
its not that its hard its just that we do not need it.
as someone else said in another post
"why have another section? does oscar expand beyond electronics, mechanics or software? no"
we already have all the relevant topic space in the current forums.

ok...whatever...
