Hi all.
I am at the programming stage of my $50 robot and I'm using the more expensive programmer (avr isp mkII). I would like to set my servos to "0" so I can modify them BUT when I plug the programmer header onto the board the programmer led flashes orange, which according to the documentation indicates a wiring fault or something such. :-\
I have thoroughly checked my board for errors many times, and I can find nothing wrong. However, there obviously IS something wrong! I have also checked with a multimeter and there is the right current throughout the circuit.
Also, do I have to have both battery packs (9v + 4.8v), servos and photoresistors plugged in for the circuit to work properly? ???
This project has to be finished in a week's time.
I have attached some photos of my circuit. Please excuse my abysmal soldering!
And yes I know the LED's in a weird place but I blew the first one.
Thanks in advance! ;)

P.S The pictures are very bad quality, I took them on my phone, but I will try to upload some good quality ones within a few days.

PROBLEM SOLVED... by my mother... How humiliating! I connected pin 5 of the header to GND on the microcontroller when it should have been on RESET. My programmer has lit up all green! ;D ;D ;D

Check if you have the header wired up correctly, I think I see that you've not wired the one going to "Reset"
You might want to check this message (http://p://www.societyofrobots.com/robotforum/index.php?topic=1045.msg8046#msg8046) to check the other connections.
Hope this helps.
---EDIT
Problem solved whilst I was writing my post...
