Just found this. How do you think he shoots the rocket? He must have to replace the ignitor each time.

Sorry.... but..... owned..... :P

he might have some type of ignitor that doesnt burn out and is just at the bottom of the barreland when he inserts th rocket is slifes down and stops on the ignitor
-
it might be an electronic igniting system.
-
??? thats basically what i said... alll you would need would be a little bit of electrity and something flamable like paper and when a electronic pulse is sent swooosh..... there it goes... similar to the ignitor put out by ESTES for kids that like rocketry
-
and something flamable like paper
wait, what? what paper do you use!
most people use powder...
-
type of paper to ignite not for propulsion
-
A flash from an one use camera would do the dirty work.... :P

I made an electric firework ignition system when I was a kid. I used a piece of fine steel wool wrapped around the fuse and had 12V flow through it. I would became very hot and eventually ignite the firework. Hmmm
Microcontroller + fireworks, that's a fun week-end project!
-
a robot that moves to a good location and counts down all on its own.... that would be cool ;D

haven't we all, and then the cellphone detonators! man they're awesome...

yes, i hate the fact that there is always someone who takes something useful and turns it into something harmful... although, its still a fun project to do :)

Pretty slick aside from the fact that it was launching just rocket engines no fins which means a completely out of control rocket engine in what looks like a public park with little kids. Pretty irresponsible if you ask me. If you want to risk ones own safety thats one thing but do it away from the general public let alone kids!

hmmm, It looks to made out of a vex robotics kit...

most of it is but there is a fair amount of custom work.
