Title: loading programs form cd drive...

ok so i have an old cd drive that i took off of my old computer and was wondering if there is any way to make it to were i can put a cd in it with the program and have it load it onto the memory chip(or maybe have the chip feed off of the cd

Hi,

There is a way, but it involves building an interface with a ยต-controller to translate - but you have to learn a god deal on (E)IDE protocol to achieve this.
These days, flash memory with an SPI interface comes cheap though, so it just doesn't make sense anymore.

i figured it wouldnt make sense i was just wonder i knew it would got through the ide...
