Title: N64 controller interface???
Post by: Truckstop on August 17, 2009, 05:27:17 AM
Hello folk's, i recently purchased a rather neat controller from my local game shop for nearly nothing! and was wondering if anybody has interfaced a N64 controller to a micro controller before?  preferable a Basic stamp but i also have a spare bare bones board lying around. i know how to rewire the entire thing with a new microchip and will probable end up doing so anyway but was curious what you guys had to say first..

Thanks

It is weird. it straps to your arm and bends with it for the joystick motions, and then it has the rest of the buttons on the side and a memory card slot on the other side. its rather comfortable to wear tho. im hoping to use it for telepresense

upon taking it apart it has a PIC16C64A-04/P clearly as the interpreter and handles all the data in and data out functions. should be easier to interface with then i thought.

Would post more pictures but my digital camera is being a B&#%! right now

Have you tried using Google yet?
Seems to me like there's plenty of info out there on the web, no need to reinvent the wheel...

First result I found, looks like it'd be useful:
