Hi,

When your question is about batteries, how smart do you yourself think it is, to use "FAST LINE FOLLOWING" as the subject then?

I was thinking of exactly the same project.

I'll be using these:

those are 11V1... he said maximum of 8V4...

@gaurav, do they have to be li-poly or can they be li-po?

Smash, li-poly is the the same as li-po, both an abbreviation for lithium polymer.

gaurav,

It's a good thing that you used the subject "Fast Line Following" otherwise I'm sure that I would not have read your post.

I'll be making my line follower based on my mini sumo caller "ExSpurt" http://brooksbots.com/ExSpurt.htm (http://brooksbots.com/ExSpurt.htm) except I'd like to use a Propeller for control.  ExSpurt has a top speed of about 100 inches per second.  So far I've been able to controll ExSpurt at 67 inches per second with a Basic Stamp and no PID.  It should be interesting.

Keep me posted on your progress.

gaurav,

You will have to make the wheels yourself.  See http://brooksbots.com/ExSpurt%20Tires.htm (http://brooksbots.com/ExSpurt%20Tires.htm)

Make sure that your battery can supply 2 to 3 amps per motor.

Are you planning on two motors or four?
