Title: Help with SoR website
Post by: Strikeskids on August 24, 2009, 05:11:54 AM
When i got the member pages and try to login it says that my username is unrecognized even though it and the password are the same ones i use for the robot forum. Do you have to do something special to be able to make a tutorial?

yes you need a member tutorial account.

If you learned a lot from SoR, contribute back!

Before applying for an account, please read the tutorial guidelines to understand what makes a good robot tutorial.

To apply for an account (to get free webspace for your robot creation(s)), you must first be an active member on the robot forum. This may be informal and subjective, but it is my way of eliminating spammers and other 'no-good-ers.' The name you choose for yourself in the forum will be used as your account name for the member created tutorials. All tutorials are moderated by the admin before they are made public.

To apply, send me an email. Include a picture or youtube/google video link, and a quick description of what you will write about. You will shortly thereafter get account info sent to you by email.

first write the tutorial, then submit it to Admin and if it good then he will give you a tutorial account.

no.
you just need to tell admin a few ideas and what the tutorial page is about to get an account.
then you can change/add as you go along.

Just the basic idea thought out will be fine. Generally, I just want to be sure you'll finish it, and that you'll write a 'this is how to make a robot' and not a 'i made a robot' tutorial. :P
