Title: FBOOT17 problem

hey guys!

I'm using fboot17 for uploading the hex file to axon. But i got a new laptop and it only has vista in it and i get an error saying that 'the system cannot open com3 port as requested by the application'. i tried all the available com ports and i get the same error and im sure that only  axon is connected to the port i'm using. so what do i do?

EDIT: OK, i installed windows xp sp2 version using the virtual pc application. I i tried uploading the hex file and for some reason i keep getting the "wrong device informations " error. In vista the axon is connected in com port 2 and in xp also i've connected the axon on com port 2 and i've tried changing the baud rates, yet i keep getting the same error.! can some one guide me??..its kind of urgent :(

Are you 100% sure you did the command right, with file names/locations correctly?

When you plug in the Axon, which com port appears in system devices?

Yes, I'm sure about the command. The axon appears on com port 2 in windows vista.

Vista 32bit or 64bit?

nevamind admin, installed windows xp and everything works fine :) thanks!
