I was making some purchases at Pololu and noticed the pre-crimped wires:

Its a good alternative to buying quality crimpers and doing it yourself:

Its a multi-color 50 pack for ~$18. They sell smaller packs, but I really recommend multiple colors to keep track of different signals.
You might also clip some of the 50 or so in half to solder one end to a board, so this pack should last you ~4+ years. Its a good investment.
