Title: Servo help
Post by: xdlubusxd on October 24, 2009, 05:48:31 AM
Hello I'm having some problems with the servo Hitec HS-311 servo
I cant find any place to buy it (I live in Brazil) and I am building the THE $50 ROBOT
The place where I could buy the servo is www.mercadolivre.com.br (http://www.mercadolivre.com.br) (it's like our ebay)
but I can only find this servo(Servo Hs-322hd Hitec) ( http://produto.mercadolivre.com.br/MLB-115069437-servo-hs-322hd-hitec-_JM (http://produto.mercadolivre.com.br/MLB-115069437-servo-hs-322hd-hitec-_JM) )
I want to know if I can use this one instead HS-311 servo, will my robot have any problem?
Thanks

Those two servos look to be nearly identical by the specifications. They are sold for robots and listed as being modifiable for full 360° rotation her:

The only difference I noted was better material in the gears.

Yeah, that servo will do fine, almost the same except for a few better parts, control will still be the same.
