Hey there Codeblue, welcome to the forums...
You want to build your first robot eh? Do you require any guidance as to where to start or do you have plans?

I dont really need any guidance i pretty much understand whats going on as far as electronics and it cant be that hard to build a simple chassis....
I would like to know where i could get a good soldiering iron though... we use two different types at school both by Weller one I think is like $50 on amazon the other $83.. I'm considering just buying the 50$ one to save a little money to spend on something else, but the only problem with that one is the tip is pretty big and not as easy as the other one to solder small components..

Well, you can always replace a tip cant you?
I myself use a $10 soldering iron, so a $50 Weller would give 1337 solder joints.
