Title: need help from the older folks out there
Post by: blackbeard on November 15, 2009, 03:20:07 PM
so i've dug up my old function generator which i still have no idea how to use. when i say old i mean OLD as it's from the 1950s and uses vacuum tubes. the model is Ts-413C/U which from what i've read is a 1953-1954 US air force signal generator. it's in good condition and turns on well enough so i'd be willing to put it to work if i knew how to use it  i'm likely going to order a few tubes online for it in any case. so anyone know how to use it? here's a pic

Hi,

Too bad the pic is so blurred, but are you sure it's a function generator?
It looks like a "measuring transmitter" (for lack of the correct English term) which is used to generate (whatever)HF+modulation for aligning receivers etc.

it says it's a signal genorator but from what i can tell it's limited to 1vac
