Title: change of servos size
Post by: bob on December 02, 2009, 07:12:43 AM
I build the 50 dollar robot
I calculate the desire moment and I find that I need servos that have more power and receive 8 volt
What problems can appear if I change the batteries total size
And change the servos size ?
Also I search after servo that used 7.2 volt and the peak is 8 volt

I am still a newbie at this, so use my advice as a grain of salt. I would wait around for someone more experienced to answer before moving on my advice.

My best guess is that you will need a new voltage regulator and capacitor so that it can feed 8 volts to the servo's instead of 5 volts as is in the original design specs.
