Title: Think I killed my arduino...
Post by: Hawaii00000 on December 31, 2009, 06:21:46 PM
Earlier this month I was doing something with my arduino when one or two of the pins shorted out. Now I can't get the arduino to run servos.

Is it posible that the arduino lived through a short and will a short kill all the I/O?

Can you flash the Arduino? can you still blink the LED?

You can burn out individual pins, but i haven't seen someone taking out all the I/O with a few pins shorting.
Try setting all pins high, check with voltage meter, and set all low and check with voltage meter.

On one hand, it seems unlikely that you ruined all the pins with just that, but then again shorts do strange things.

Thanks for the advice. I tried it out and found that the pins were fine, but there was an error in th circuit... problem solved
