You may be interested in the robotics programming simulation at insplore.com.

Shame it uses Lua and not a language that I know. I would have owned you all! ;D

Yeah, kinda a let down...
Lua actually looks like a half decent language, i can't believe i haven't ever heard of it!

Lua is very accessible since its got all the basic features of a procedural programming language, including object oriented constructs, and it has advanced features like a garbage collector that makes high-level programming simpler and safer.

Its well supported by a large community, see: http://insplore.com/wiki?page=lua (http://insplore.com/wiki?page=lua).

There's now a 3D renderer available for INSPLORE robot simulation movies!

See http://insplore.com (http://insplore.com) and click on the '3D' icon beside one of the movies.

The only requirement is the Adobe Shockwave plugin: http://get.adobe.com/shockwave/ (http://get.adobe.com/shockwave/)

Sorry, forgot to mention: there are four views, click each of the four view icons at the top of the 3D window. Some views are overhead and some follow behind the robot. Very cool.
