A New Program For An Old MCU

I have an Axon MCU that already has a program on it from somebody else's project. Is there anything special I need to do to put my program in? Does the old one erase when I add mine?

There is a chance he might have deleted the bootloader.
Try using the bootloader, and if you can't get it to work, make him reupload the bootloader for you with his hardware programmer.
