just did a bit of documentation of one of my recent projects.
i wanted to build a radio control system so i could easily add sensors to the receiver microcontroller and slowly upgrade to fully autonomous flight.

i'm fairly pleased with how it's going so thought i'd share.

i still need to document the RF transmitter and receiver firmware i used. it's on my ToDo list...

so i'll be putting the receiver in a glider sometime this week. if i have anyone with me i'll need to get them to take a vid of the inevitable crash...
(it's been a looong time since i flew anything.)

also on my ToDo list is port the PSx controller code to the Axon and write that up in the member tutorials here.
(please feel free to bug me about it if you don't see this happen in the next few weeks...)

so i have my home made radio control system installed in my home made glider.
i went out for a few test throws today but unfortunately had no wind for slope soaring.
the test flights did demonstrate that the glider flies quite well though, even if flight times were very limited.

i just need a day with a nice breeze to test it now.

i've got a motor arriving from Ebay which will make things more interesting (and less weather dependant).
don't know how that will work out as i've never flown a powered model before...

after the motor addition i'll be adding some angular rate gyros.

Your movies are great, and so are the pop ups.  Yes, nice flooring.  I am going to be working on a simular type of project soon, except I will not be giving input.  I would love to see your servo code to see an example of controlling a servo other than as a motor.  Keep up the good work.  I will definetly be following your progress.
