Hey! I've been reading around on this website for a while and just decided to join the forum.
I've been searching around and couldn't find a good way to teleoperate a robot. I'm going to be building robots with a few friends over the summer and we were thinking of building a few robots to get into friendly competition.
We're using Arduino and thinking of using
http://www.robotshop.us/on-shine-low-cost-tx-rx.html to send data to the robot for teleoperation. However, I'm wondering if the 433mhz transmitter/reciever pair would be good for our purposes.
Would we also be able to set those to different channels or somehow use multiple at the same time from different controllers? If not, what is a good low cost way to transmit data to a robot without interfering with neighboring robots?
I've thought about using 75Mhz channeled transmitter/receivers from hitec, but those are a bit pricey if you want to purchase multiple. There's no good wifi shield for Arduino. What about bluetooth?
