Mounting Edge robotic arm onto chassis.
« on: October 13, 2009, 06:56:13 PM »
I have recently become interested in robots and was thinking about an easy project for creating one. Once looking around a couple websites i found out about the Edge robotic arm. After that i though what about mounting it onto a chassis! So i started thinking about it and decided to screw the base into the chassis. After that I thought about just fusing the controllers by taking the electronics out of the smaller controller and putting them inside the bigger controller. Just drill holes for the analog sticks or buttons and mount the electronics inside. But the problem is that I can't find any cheap chassis with a large controller or any controller at all. So i was wondering if someone could help me with finding out about one that could help me or just give me advice about my project

define cheap ;D

If you mean under $100, it won't happen. At least $400 for something decent. Your best bet is to just make your own . . .
