Next Robot

Hello everyone I just finished building my first robot, ( Herbie the Mousebot, a BEAM robot by Solarbotics), and I want to move on to my second robot, but I don't know whether to choose the, Pololu 3pi, or the KS-V Sumovore. here are some vids.

Why don't you try the $50 Robot, it will give you a better understanding of robotics.

I'm familiar with robotics in general, (i've read a few books). But thanks for the advice. And I must say, 50 dollars is pretty good for a photovore robot

You can also do more with that one. It's a good starting point to build more advanced 'bots.

It's not just a photovore.

You can let your imagination go wild on this one too.

But if you want to get a kit, the 3pi robot is an excellent 'bot to learn from.

Like galannthegreat  said i think you should go  for the $50 for 3 reasons.

1)In the end when it is finished and working it will give you way more satisfaction as you have built the bot from start to finish from scratch.

2)It will give you pricless experience for when you start building complicated robots.

3)It will give you a way better understanding than what you have gained from the books as it is real and you will gain all the neccessary skills.

Overall i think it will be way more enjoyable and like galannthegreat said you will be able to build it up from the $50 robot to do much more complicated tasks.
