WebbotLib has a driver for it, so it'll easily work with the Axon, etc.

How well does it work outdoors? Is any signal processing and/or filtering included in the system or do I have to do it all by myself?

It works fine outdoors (the same as indoors). No filtering required, just wire it to your mcu and you're done.

Sounds to good to be true. You don't happend to know if there is some performance data from this sensor somewhere? The data sheet doesn't include any of that.
