Switching on the Axon II for the first time
« on: March 12, 2010, 05:43:05 AM »
I have completed the initial build of my Robot. I have applied 6V to my Axon II, battery polarities are correct and I have taken all precautions against possible static damage.

When I switch on the Axon (without anything else but power connected) what should I expect to see? The LED display shows a numerical 8 and the status light, and the Axon power light shines brightly. Next, the LED display numerical 8 and the status light flash off and on several times and then go out. The Axon power light remains shining brightly.

I have looked through the Getting Started files, all the Forums and datasheets at SoR, and searched using Google, but I cannot find any guidelines for what to expect or diagnostics/ troubleshooting for the Axon II.

I would appreciate any help on this matter. Admin: May I suggest this could be the subject of a future Demo Video (unless one exists). Thanks in advance....Invicta

All Axons and Axon II's come preloaded with a test program to verify everything works. Its really not useful for anyone else except for manufacture quality control.

Try uploading your own program and see what happens.
