Microcontroller crashes?!? =)
« on: March 26, 2010, 11:16:51 AM »
Hello everybody!!  :)
We decided to use the axon microcontroller to control infrared sensors (SharpIR) and Sabertooth Motor Controllers.
Our programming language is C and the operative system is ubuntu.
After some time of work (about 5/6 months)  we tried to link seven IR sensors, instead of the one we were using for the testing.
As result of this fact the microcontroller shutted down, so we tried to power autonomously the sharp sensors.
Now the UART0 and UART2 do not work too.
In these ports were connected the Sabertooth Motor Controllers.
Actually the computer doesn't read the USB port connected with the UART1.
In one of the microcontrollers each of these three ports "smoked".

    * Should it be caused by the battery? (0,07A - 7,2V)

    * Is there a reset hardware on the microcontroller?

    * On your own opinions, what happened?

    * Do you have an idea about the calibrating and reading of data from the compass CMPS03 with the I2C Mode??

As you understood, we need a great help! HELP

:)

Did you ever resolve the problem? (I just noticed this post)
