Powering Axon II via PC USB

Is it possible to power the Axon II soley with the USB cable from the PC instead of requiring a separate battery?

If you don't need more than a half amp of current, you can tap 5V by soldering a wire to a diode on the board.
FYI, an el-cheapo servo uses about half an amp.
If thats fine with you, I'll show you how.
