servo motor transfer function, how to get it with?
« on: August 29, 2010, 09:21:47 AM »
I'm trying to get the transfer function for a servo motor in terms of the time it takes the servo to get to the indicated position.

any ideas on how to measure this time?

thanks

Carlos

The servo arm and two photo-interrupters set a say 90° apart. Then an O'scope or some code in a u-processor to measure the time between the first and second photo-interrupter outputs.

Hi,

Usually, the speed is given for a 60° movement at 4.8V and at 6V (if the servo can handle 6V) where you buy them.

A rather fast and fairly heavy robot with quite large wheels needs what? A lot of power?
