50$ robot - will these parts do?
« on: October 25, 2010, 11:37:17 AM »
thanks!

1- Servo by PArallax]    900-00008-ND
2-  PDV-P5001Photocells:[/url]  8k ohm to  12k ohm (light) 300 k ohm  dark
3-  Resistor for photocell is  sqrt(12000 ohm * 300000ohm) = 60 000 ohm, correct?
4 )  I'm planning to get this roboduino (http://cgi.ebay.ca/Roboduino-Servo-Ready-Freeduino-Atmega168-/280536722940?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item41514aadfc)
  a) good idea?
  b) what connectors should I get to connect my photoresistors/servos/batteries to the robouino?  I looked at the "wire connector tutorial" .. should I get the 3-pin connectors from digikey (WM2801-ND 3 pin housing ) since most of roboduino's pins come in group of three?
--- also would these jumper wire fit?? (http://cgi.ebay.ca/One-Pack-60PCS-Solderless-Bread-Board-Jumper-color-wire-/160441288042?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_2&hash=item255b0bc56a)

thanks

Hi,

1- Servo by PArallax
2- Photocells: 4k ohm to 150 k ohm
3- 390 ohm resistor instead of 340
4- 1.5k ohm resistor instead of 1.62k ohm
5- arduino instead of ATmega8 AVR  and 28 pin DIP socket
Your links are dead.

Apart from item #4, which needs to be adapted to the specifik LDR (item #2) you should be OK, but you probably have to modify the program (or make a new one).

Søren

Send the digikey part numbers. They all end in "-ND"
