RobotX currently has a nice little SnR challenge which will end in late April. I'm hoping to get a robot prepared in time :D

I haven't really thought about it, yet. But I'm pretty sure the contest-end date will be the end of summer.

Any choice in contests I could do?

I would be really interested in what people can come up with when recycled parts and a strict budget are in play. For instance.
"Build the most capable wheeled bot using an old printer and not more then $150 in parts" or something similar.

I would also like to see "the most extreme $50 robot"

I would like to see:

"Build the most capable production line manufacturing robot for under $200"

I would also like to see "the most extreme $50 robot"
I like that
And Admin said "Let there be robots!"
And it was good.

My suggestion:

'Build a robot with a non-regular drive system'
such as a robot with Omniwheels or Mecanum wheel or something similar,
Just an idea :P

I think it definately needs a theme.

Why not let people suggest a list of themes and put them into a poll, most votes wins. For added fun, you could hide the poll results from the forum until the competition start date. ;D
