I do not have a axon but I want to program normal atmega8 with usb/serial converter (pl2303 based). I believe axon bootloader can do that. Can anyone tell me a way to bootload my atmega8 so it can be programmed with usb/serial converter?

No, you can't use the Axon bootloader for atmega8.
