nearly got myself an electrical fire in my house!!!!!

phew!! :o i just managed to fry my cpu fan by connecting it to the mains!!! got to know that 12 volts isnt supplied in main though  ;D ;D .anybody have an alternative?? i wz making an something outta it and it jus blew up. can anybody suggest what i can do?? im pretty freaked out! ??? ??? ??? ??? i think using an adapter may help but which power range should i take?? i had already posted a topic about it but i did not seem that my cpu fan required an wall wart.which energy wall wart should i buy.

im not that stupid ;D and i correct-i have considerable knowledge about electronics and have made many sophisticated things

A rather fast and fairly heavy robot with quite large wheels needs what? A lot of power?
