HS-303 and HS-311
« on: May 21, 2011, 02:00:57 PM »
Ok, so I have two HS-303 servos. They pull a lot of torque, but I need some more speed. Would the HS-311 go faster, and still have enough torue to pull a couple of pounds?
Thanks,
Soninja8

Google is  your friend.

http://www.servodatabase.com/servo/hitec/hs-311
http://www.servodatabase.com/servo/hitec/hs-303

(and so is servodatabase, apparently)

I know http://www.servodatabase.com/compare?servos=835,836
I've used servodatabase, but it says they are the same besides hs-311 having less toque. I dont understand this, because the hs-303 is so slow, and all the videos that ive seen of people using the hs-311 is fast...

Any idea?

Had never previously heard of the 303.  What voltage are you operating at?

Since the HS-303 is old and discontinued, the performance may be worse than when it was new.

The HS-311 would be an improvement, but it's just a typical standard servo. Look at servodatabase to find specs of servos that are better.
