Battery for Axon Microcontroller
« on: July 24, 2011, 09:25:11 AM »
Hi,

I am very new to robotic project and starting with ABCD. I bought a Axon microcontroller and received it yesterday. But I missed to buy a battery for the controller. I searched most of the shops today but couldnt get the compatible charger in my city with Hitec connector.
Could one of you please let me know the suitable battery I should buy for my robotic project (Planning for biped robot) Or
Would it be ok to cut the battery connection in the switch (provided with Axon controller) and locally available connector?

Could one of you please help me in this?

Thanks
Vina

Hi,

Would it be ok to cut the battery connection in the switch (provided with Axon controller) and locally available connector?
Not quite sure if that's what you mean, but you could just get the mating connector (with wire ends) for the battery you have/will get and then solder that to where the original connects the battery.
Regards,
Søren

A rather fast and fairly heavy robot with quite large wheels needs what? A lot of power?
Please remember...
Engineering is based on numbers - not adjectives

Two more options . . .

buy your battery with a Hitec connector online:

or cut the incompatible connector off the battery and install a Hitec-compatible connector like this:
