New Forum Section? - Robot Competitions

Does anyone think there would be a use to create a new forum section (wtih sub sections) related to robot competitions? I think it might draw in some of the more amerature crowds wich is probably a good thing. It would also allow those newer folks to check out the more generalized and sometimes advanced forum sections for interesting things as well as see more 'game related' posts that others may or may not be interested in.

-> RoboCup (Soccer)

While many of these competitions have communications systems of their own, it would be nice to see a more centralized repository of all of this communication on one site. It could help robotics in general.

Has this been tried before? Any oposition? Comments from Admin? Comments from the regulars?

I guess my one thought I didn't put in there - if the idea is implemented and then fails, most of the comments could be simply dropped here in the MISC section and still remain relevant for searching and future knowledge.

I kinda like it, though SOR has never really been that well sectionalized.
