Programming an avoiding obstacle Tamiya Tank

Hello I'm a beginner & new to the code programming. If sum1 could help, I have a Tamiya Tank with a ping ultrasonic sensor, a servo, and two dc motors running independently. Also an arduino uno with 0022 software and a adafruit motor shield. I'm using M2and M3 port for my two dc motors. My problem is finding code with all three tied in on one code instead of some of this and that. I for some reason can't get my ping(((( to relate to my servo then to my motors. If som1 have any code I could use I would be very appreciative. THANKS, som1 PLEASE HELP ME!!!!

I cannot give you any code, but all you have to do is check if there is something x units away, and if there is, then do this. Replace this with what you want the code to be.
