How can robots learn?
« on: December 11, 2011, 01:39:58 AM »
I just saw a video on asimo and some other really cool humanoid robots and they are able to learn. For example they can speak long conversations, they make decisions, ect. How can a robot be programmed to do that though? This is is most likely  programmed by many many people and is probobly really advanced, but can someone tell me how this is accomplished. Yes I already know that its a lot like a baby and it learns from the things it sees, hears, touches, ect, but how is it able to learn stuff like humans? What would the robot need?

Video of asimo:
ASIMOs new artificial intelligence. (ASIMO is learning!)

Search for Artificial Neural Network  ;)
