Homemade ESCs

I have found a couple of homemade ESCs that look pretty good. I thought I would post them since somebody on this forum probably has a use for them.

They are not hard to make from scratch, just program a microcontroller to read pulse lengths and output PWM signals to a H-bridge.
Servos are expensive, it's best not to just waste them.

Homemade ESCs are becoming popular.... But I can't still find an ESC schematics for brushless...


Have something in mind???

I had a broken one and it worked fine!!!
And HS-311 cost almost nothing... And you can still keep the gears... PWM and H-bridge can be not as good as expected...

So what's the difference between an ESC and a DC motor driver?

an esc is a type of dc motor driver.
an esc takes servo signals and transforms them into dc motors outputs.

motor driver is to animal
as ESC is to dog

Well the main difference is that ESC uses pulses to operate... But Motor controller would use what ever like pulses, data (most commonly), etc
