power supply for atmega16

now i want ask a question

my atmega16's power rationg is 4.5-5.5 v suppose i give 4 v as vcc rhen will the atmega16 behave oddly iam asking this coz my pwm is behaving oddly one side is giving 3.5 v and other is giving 3.7 and yes both have same prescalers and same value what is the problem???

another question too i want to know possible battery types i can give to atmega16 mcu?????

Your most likely browning out your MCU which means it has enough power to power up but not function properly. it needs a MINIMUM of 4.5v to function properly.
I would go with NiMH (Nickel Metal-Hydride) battery packs

nimh batteries are good but i need 5 of these batteries to get atleast 5v also how do u charge these battery packs and where they may be available

ya that they can plus i have to buy the charger +shipping will be more than 100$ thats way too much spend for a battery can u tell me how i make my own pack and recharge them

Get a battery charger, or use a power supply such as in the $50 Robot tutorial.
