Pic programmer - need schematics
« on: March 31, 2008, 06:42:53 AM »
Hello to everyone...

As the subject suggests I need to make a PIC programmer. I'll probably use the PIC16F877A (classic) but I have no idea about PICs...

I know Google, in fact I love it... but I need to know something trusted... I also need a free compiler, no-time for spending etc...

I also want to learn C++ although I prefer basic... Is there a TRUSTING walk-through the park on a sunny Sunday morning tutorial that I can follow?

That would be much appreciated...

Thanks in advance,
Lefteris, Greece

why dont u buy a book named "programming and customizing PIC's" by Myke Predko it will really clear ur funda abt programming PIC's , but u need to have some basic idea abt C for that..

If u need The E-book for that book then u can contact me through my email [email protected]

Check out this link:

It works like a dream.

You should consider the PIC18 range(like 18f4550) rather than the pic16 range.

Pic18's have additional code words making them more geared towards c programming so you are more likely to find an unrestricted c compiler for them

Thank you, that was just very very nice!!!
BTW do you have anything in mind about 18F series FREE C or Basic compilers...

Best thanks,
