control color LCD from ampire
« on: April 19, 2008, 04:37:21 AM »
does anyone know how to command a AM-480272 lcd from ampire? it's a 480x272 6bits/channel color lcd. it has 40 pins, vsync, hsync and pixel clock. i'm thinking of buying one, but i can't find any documentation about this, not even on their official site! Other TFT models are ok too (although they seem to have different pinout)

tried emailing them?

you might be better off just buying a serial LCD and not bother with the headache :P

there's a wonderful shortage of hobby-friendly color lcds around (although it seems like a contradiction in terms) here :( this is one of the few available at one of the biggest shops.
i'm thinking of buying stuff from gsm repair shops, but soldering bga's with a soldering gun.. ugh, not nice

edit: they have 6 lines for each color (msb/lsb style) one vsync, one hsync and one pixel clock. i suppose this is similar to tv scanning. adding it just in case someone might have used a system like this before.
