run robot with the help of ps2 remote

i want to run my robot with the help of ps2 remote controller .i hv phidget interface kit (8/8/8) also .help me.............

I'm looking to do the same thing... except with a PS3 control. Apparently it uses bluetooh, so I already have it connected to my laptop, just need to find a way to interface with it -- funny this post came up though, cause I just started doing this five minutes ago.

As I just started I can't really offer any help right now, but let me  know what you find out, and I'll do the same.

You could try installing bluetooth IC in your robot instead. I am working on that for my tutorial since the day I bought the ps3 for mgs4. By the way, for those who have a 360, notice that the 360 controller wont work at all because it uses a proprietary wireless signal (unless you use the usb cable but that is not fun).

Alright seems pretty simple.

Heres how I would do it.  Connect the potentiometer outputs from each axis of each joystick to an analog port  on the phidgets. Now if you want to use the buttons also then just connect those to the digital inputs. Thats the easiest way but also the messiest .

Do you have much electronics experience ? , because you could probably hack the PS2 controller connector to a breakout board that you make . It would be something like the PS2 connector converted to the analog output, digital output, etc.
