Feedback on programming tutorial
« on: July 13, 2008, 07:24:42 PM »
I recently bought a domain and decided to finish one tutorial I've been meaning to publish.
I would like some feedback on this article.
Do ignore any profanity, I do it a lot while coding. Yes, I know there are spelling mistakes and some weird topics in sentences. Point out any major grammar error you run across :P

I have chosen the topic of bitwise operators because at least three people here had no idea this stuff even exists. I am aware of only one good tutorial, but it's too simple for my liking. Please post your feedback in terms of language, structure, quality of information, style, and overall perception of information (too much stuff, too complex, too simple, etc)

lol I love your copyright notice

the article is pretty short and lacks some visual representation (e.g. truth tables)

There's isn't much gfx to include here, except logic tables. I took the other path, of explaining the functions, instead of relying on tables. If you think that is a bad thing, I'll consider adding logic tables.
However, for the rest of the stuff, I considered the issue of graphics and interactive stuff. This is one (still incomplete) example.

I'm hoping to finish my website's backend these weeks. it's going to have all bunch of tutorials related to programming, embedded programming, electronics (basically, everything I know to do will go there, so when I'll be old and I'll forget, I can relearn everything :P). In the meantime, please let me know what you think of the frontend.

The same old two articles are up, but I've added a small logo and icons for the articles. Also, done a bit of refining on the navigation.
Also, please do a legibility test on the articles. Are the paragraphs, subheaders and headers delimited ok? Too much colors? Too little fonts? Does anything break on your browser (pictures, etc)? I've done my best to make this as accessible as possible.

Offtopic. Yes, I am spamming. I want the raw opinion of people who are interested on this subject. If anyone finds the articles useful enough, I can also post them here.
