There is one called UltiBoard made by National Instruments.  It is part of the Electronics Workbench suite, or that is how I got it.  I haven't used it yet so I cannot tell you anything about it, but I am sure there is info available for it online.

You should definitely learn eagle

You can even render your PCBs into 3D!

Eagle is hard for me to get use to. I tend to not like it. I learned autocad first and eagle doesn't seem intuitive to me. I keep having to rethink the way I do things. So I feel the eagle pain. Simple things like highlighting and moving an object are just annoying. Course I get annoyed with how Google schetchup works as well but thats more transitioning to 3d then the programs fault. Oh and the weird way it handles axis.

I guess we just have to accept that Eagle has some curio's but, at the end of the day, its isn't a 'drawing' package (2d or 3d or autocad). It's designed to drive milling machines, PCB manufacturers etc. Sometimes this higher need for intricate detail makes simple things more complex. The professional manufacturers seem to like it - most of them accept Eagle files for manufacturing. Personally, I would be overjoyed if there was a tighter integration between Eagle and Eagle 3D libraries. When trying to choose a component from a library its hard to know if its the right one if you can't see it in 3d. And Eagle 3D ignores most of the library objects (not the fault of Eagle 3D as its always playing catchup).

OK - some of the GUI is not very intuitive - but, if you can cope with and learn it, then it's a great tool. Having gone from schematic, to board, to producing a PCB then it certainly makes life easier.

The thing is that Eagle 3D is a third party application ( from what I understand). That is why they don't work so seamlessly. And also you can upload you own 3D components from Autocad or Sketchup into Eagle 3D.
