RELAY FLASHER HELP

so im making a circuit that would flash 2 lights on and off. i could easily do it with a mcu and very little code. we had one that was 20 years old, but it broke. it had 2 relays and some other stuff that i dont know (old soviet components look different)

heres what i have. it seems to work, but flashes VERY fast. fast enough so that the lights dont dim


is it right? do i just need to add some resistors somewhere?

UPDATE: added a 340ohm resistor. smallest i had and it didnt work at all

I'm not entirely sure whats going on in this image, or exactly what you're trying to do

Yoy will need something like the car turn signal relay to make it work without a microcontroller or a timer IC. The car turn signal relay uses a thermal switch that will disconnect when heated and it takes around a second or less to heat up and disconnect the power to the relay coil and about the same time to cool down and connect the power back to the relay coil.

nope no schematic. it was made on the fly. i guess ill either get a car flasher relay or make a 555 timer circuit
