Pic32MX360F512 based Microcontroller
« on: September 17, 2008, 11:08:05 AM »
Okay I'm back, due to the Hurricane, foward progression was at a stand still, however, things are just about in full swing. so here is the problem, I have three Pic32's and now it's time to start developing a microcontroller. I have been reading the Pic32 Family documentation and I think that i have a descent understand of the design, I have selected the sensors that I want to use and they are on the way estimated time of arrival is about two weeks, I have outlined the program layout and I think that i have covered all the Bases. I have a 50G Accelerometer, dual axis gyro, pressure sensor (tempature adjusted), tempature sensor, 8X2 LCD (think that i want an option for a graphics display) sd/mmc to read the program and store data also a gps unit and finally i think that i want to add a small hf transeiver(any one have any idea on where to find such a device - i'm a little out of the loop on that onw). I'm working with a company to mold a clear nose cone to mount a camera, but thats iffy, back to the point.

I need to develope a microcroller that will utilize two pic32's to share the processing load, I think that this can be done thew one of the serial ports on the each chip. i need this to run off of a 7.4 volt Lipo and of corse ther will be both 3.3v and 6v regulators build into the power supply, just wondering if there is any one out there that can lead me in the right direction for this project on build a microcontroller. I know that was a lot of extra information for the question, but it was interesting none the less (at least to me)

What are you processing?

Took me a bit to realize why you needed a 50g accelerometer, until I remembered your guided rocket project . . .

??? well here is the deal, as right now i don't need two i just want to know if it's possible i think that one will be capable of processing everything that i need it to process for the rocket, but there is a second UAV that i am also working on and it is much more complex, with vairable wings and multiple sensors, so i was thinking that one PIC should be used for sensors and the other for Outputs, and communications. if that can be done which i think it cane based on the datasheet i wanted to know how to go about starting to prototype a Augmented Controller, There's a board from schmart board that has a .4 pitch that i will start with, for pin access, but i still need a lot of help and assistance.

sorry for the late response, still working around the hurricane, thanks!
