rs 232 cable

hi guys... i want to connect rx and tx pin of my rf module withmy rs232 wire but its pack it has 9 wire.
red
grey
black
yellow
orange
blue
green
violet
light pink

i want to know which is transmission and which is receving wire.. please reply

rs wires coloring varies widely.
tx pin is 2, rx pin is 3, gnd is 5. put a ohmeter on your wire and at the other end.

true rs232 has only tx, rx, and ground when you don't do any flow control.  if you turn on flow control it uses the other wires as a handshaking mechanism, check this out:
