uhm... to do what?

you just use them like a resistor.  read this http://www.societyofrobots.com/schematics_photoresistor.shtml

Assuming you've created the photoresistor as per the tutorial then you will have a 3 pin socket at the end.
Looking at the photovore code it says:
Code: [Select]
sensor_left=a2dConvert8bit(5);
sensor_right=a2dConvert8bit(4);

So the left photoresistor sockets goes to ADC channel 5
and the right goes to ADC channel 4

your photoresistor "eyes" should look like this at the end of them. Then all you have to do is hook them up to one of the sensor headers (depending on whats in the programming. Webbot explained it well)

1) the "soldering technique" will most likely mess you up because it will be MUCH easier to make a few soldering mistakes and short something out. Also, if you connect the wires in the wrong order you could damage something. What I did was I took apart an old computer I had laying around and got some of the wires that hook up to the motherboard jumper pins in the area for plugging in the power switch and reset switch and lights and such and just hooked those wires up to my 'eyes'.

2) Stupidity and being a kid arnt necessarily related. Youre not stupid, your inexperienced. Completely different. No shame in inexperience. We've all been there at one point.

I see various different definitions online, but to me they all interface the same. For example, a photoresistor is basically a transistor if you consider the light sensitive part the gait. What matters more is the response rate and spectrum sensitivity curve, not what people call them ;D

cyclopediatechtilon, please use proper word spelling. If you misspell words it makes it harder for others 2 undrstnd ur qstion and hardr 4 others 2 search ur qstions. ;)
