Ok. i got a grid-style pc board and everyting from the stores here. the problem is that the male header pins are not fitting in the small holes.

Are the holes too small, or the spacing is off?
If they are just too small, you can get a razor blade and 'drill' them open a bit. Otherwise you need to shop for a new pc board
