HELP! Interupts...
« on: January 12, 2009, 04:18:07 PM »
I'm new at programming on C and am wondering if anyone can explain to me how to use an interrupt. (PIC 16F684)

My project creating a lock opening device (for school). I need to be able to pause the program at any point in time. I've been reading from various sources and as of yet haven't found anything that really explains how to use an interrupt. If someone can help me I'd be very grateful! (the project is due in two days from now)

hey i've been trying to do that for ages. i guess your using PIC? what you need to do is program a matrix data keypad and link this up to a solenoid and bolt. this can get quite complicated so i'll try and get you a circuit diagram. found it. heres a circuit diagram for an electronic lock.

i can't help with interrupts unless you use flowcharts.
