Does anyone have any ideas to help with funding?

Hey I was just wondering if anyone had other ideas to help with funding a robot other than those listed. Im looking to build my first robot but since im twelve a jobs out of the picture, and no company would take me too seriously . So I was just wondering if anyone had any other ideas for funding a robot?

Look around ebay and craigslist for old used stuff for cheap that you could sell for a profit (or just sell junk around the house). This is how I fund all of my projects. Not exactly a good money maker but it's enough to get my by in robots.

im 12 also, (although in 5 days 13), i ask for all my stuff for birthday or christmas, or otherwise I ask for money for birthday/christmas, and buy the parts myself. Also I dont get regular pocket money unless i do somthing (fair enough really) so at least for me, just doing extra random helpful jobs around your house is a good way =D. (I wish some1 took me seriously too, i want a job)

If you're in the UK the reason employers wont take you seriously IS because of your age, the laws in the UK regarding working minors changed recently (last couple of years). Pretty sure that now you have to be 14 to get a proper job but even then you're limited to about 8 hours a week.
Another point is that there's no minimum wage in the UK for people under 18 or16 (can't remember that either) so employers can pay you pittance (and generally do) so for your 8 hours you'd maybe get £15-20 a week.

You can earn more than this doing odd jobs for people in your neighbourhood, Garden clear-outs are great at this time of year because loads of people want their garden looking tidy for spring. When spring comes people then get to thinking about paint looking tatty, grass cutting and so on. Talk to your folks, they'll have friends who may need a couple of things doing and they can then spread the news that you did a great job at a decent price

14 to get a proper job? damn you have you to 16 here in the US to get one lol but minimum wage applies for all. Plus I think your limited to under 40 hours a week if your under 18 or something? Cant remember, I got my first (and current) full time job when I was 18

lol, unfortunately we don't have any industrial scrapheaps so i have to go to the car scrappers. i'm getting a job when i'm 13 but its only a paper round.

paper rounds are a great way to start out in my opinion. Especially because you are basically being paid to regularly scope out the neighborhood for any goodies the neighbors are throwing out
