Programming AVR Microcontroller
« on: February 04, 2009, 10:50:46 PM »
Programming and Customizing the AVR Microcontroller by Richard H. Barnett, Sarah Cox, and Larry O'Cull (Paperback - Jun 5, 2006) uses the obsolete AT90S1200,AT90S2313,AT90S1200A, atmega microcontrollers. I say that they are obsolete because I tried to buy them on mouser.com but they are listed as obsolete. Thus, my question to my "Microcontroller Masters" is on account of this should I still study this book ? if not what book do ya recommend? I need a book that teaches about programing the atmega ucontrollers in C.

Thanks for your responses in advance.

What specifically do you want to learn?

this useful?

That being said, you can always use the upgraded versions of those chips:
